Michael grew up watching the passing of the seasons in the agrarian landscapes of Napa, California. While getting his masters degree at Cornell University, Michael spent his summers interning with an interdisciplinary design firm in Beijing and Shanghai. This formative experience exposed him to award-winning high caliber design in an international setting. Since finalizing his education, he has worked overseas and throughout the United States on resorts, streetscapes, office plazas, public park renovations, mixed-use residential, airports, educational campuses, and residential projects.
Michael communicates effectively with architects, civil engineers and other allied disciplines in order to ensure that the projects he works on are well-coordinated and documented. He has enjoyed volunteering his time mentoring UC Berkeley Extension students, and taught a 3D modeling course while at Cornell. He earned his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley, is a hiking enthusiast, and his favorite cities are San Francisco, Shanghai, and Paris.
