Hanyu Wang

Hanyu is  a landscape architect with a wide range of academic and professional experiences in different parts of the world. He received his bachelor’s degree in China and MLA at the University of Washington. Hanyu lived in Europe for study abroad programs during summer-time from 2016-2017 collaborating with local landscape designers and architects, ecologists for design/research, and design-build projects. After spending a few years exploring public and residential projects, Hanyu joined Thuilot in 2022. 

Hanyu is passionate about urban open space design and exploring context-specific social, political, cultural, and economic factors and trends in each given project. Researching on the evolution of urban environments in the context of pandemic and virtual working mode is also his interest.  

Hanyu likes photography, light and shadow are the key characters of his photography works.
