keen observations. Using her strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills, Valerie enjoys successfully pulling all the elements of a project together including owners’ needs, community desires, cultural context, natural systems, and end-users’ satisfaction.
Valerie’s passion is place-making with an emphasis on regional context, environmental stewardship, California native planting design, and stormwater awareness. Her greatest satisfaction as a designer is focusing on the usability of a space, the technical qualities of the materials selected, and expressing a design aesthetic.
