Sarah Gronquist

Sarah Gronquist has been a practicing licensed landscape architect in California since 2001. She studied art history and bronze sculpture before earning her MLA at UMass Amherst in 1997. She is an experienced project manager with many different public and private projects completed throughout Northern California.

Sarah specializes in construction detailing and documentation and manages both new and renovation landscape projects for commercial clients.  She was an early adopter of the BayFriendly Rating System in 2009, and now serves on the Board of Directors for ReScape California, a non-profit organization that educates about and advocates for regenerative landscape practices. As a ReScape Rater, she serves as a third-party reviewer for California landscape projects seeking to meet high standards for sustainability. She also provides continuing education to landscape designers across North America who are preparing to take the landscape architectural licensing exam.
